The varietal mix of the 2018 Camino de los Arrieros was significantly different from that of 2017 due to the very different weather and the fact that a hailstorm in June wiped out 60% of the crop. So, here we are talking about some 25% Trincadeira Preta, 20% Bastardo, 15% Juan García, 10% each Rufete and Mandón, 10% other red varieties, 5% Garnacha Tintorera and 5% white grapes. The nose is terribly attractive, perfumed and light, almost ethereal, reminiscent of watermelon, pomegranate and acid berries. It has unnoticeable alcohol and a lightish mouthfeel with pure and refreshing flavors. It's a wine that feels very alive and with lots of light; it lifts you up. Bravo! 12,500 bottles were filled in September 2019.
