Brand Story:
Andy and Misha Wilkinson created this rising star after living 16 years living in Asia. With the idea of creating Asian suited wines and pursuant of a Pinot Noir passion the vision was to develop a journey they could experience together. That journey started on the eastern shores of Lake Dunstan in 2003. As Misha and Andy had sales and marketing backgrounds the internationally renowned winemaker Olly Masters joined the journey for his Central Otago winemaking debut. The evolution of Misha’s Vineyard so far, as produced some outstanding wines championed by Central Otago’s flagship - Pinot Noir.
Tasting Notes:
Beautifully complex aromas of rose petal, spice, rosemary and grilled citrus, this off-dry wine has notes of pink grapefruit and orange peel with a gentle, elegant finish
Grape Varietal(s):
Gewürztraminer
Awards & Accolades
“Misha's 2022 Gewurztraminer The Gallery is pure, clean and surprisingly refreshing. While it's off-dry, Central Otago's natural acidity provides the counterpoint, leaving the palate cleansed. This being Gewurztraminer, it's naturally aromatic, with the variety's lychees and florals in evidence alongside grapefruit, but its lavish side seems restrained. The Gallery finishes with medium length.” – Antonio Galloni, 90 points
“Dry but not austere with restrained varietal flavours including rose petal, lavender, white peach and pepper. Delicately nuanced wine that's been made with a light touch. Appealing purity” – The Real Review, 92 points
