Brand Story:
Domaine La Bastide Saint Dominique is a recent success story in the Southern Rhone Valley. The Domaine was founded in 1976, and they sold their first wine in 1980. Domaine La Bastide Saint Dominique is owned by the Bonnet family who is also well-known negociants in the Rhone Valley. Domaine La Bastide Saint Dominique owns 10.5 hectares in the Chateauneuf du Pape appellation. The vines are located in 7 lieux-dits on a myriad of terroirs. 8.7 hectares are used to produce grapes for the red wine. 1.8 hectares are planted with white wine grape varietals. They have old vines. Their oldest Grenache vines are located in Pignan. Many of their oldest vines are close to 100 years of age. Their oldest vines were planted in 1920. They also own vines that were planted in 1945.
