The property « Le Clos Du Beau Père » was acquired by Jean-Luc Thunevin and Murielle Andraud in 2006. This new name replaces the previous one Ratouin, the former owner’s name. 30% of property is located on the "René" area, a deep gravels terroir, planted with 45 years old Merlot and 20% are on clay terroir in the grave "Patache." In 2009, the property was enlarged with 2ha near the Pomerol plateau close to Château Trotanoy.

This inky colored beauty boasts a huge bouquet of ripe black fruits, plums, licorice and smoked herbs. With full-bodied richness and a ripe hedonistic style, it has fine tannin and stays remarkably pure and elegant on the palate, all of which make it a joy to drink. Enjoy bottles over the coming 10-15 years.
