Brand Story:
In 1996, Paco Rodero and his wife Conchita Villa made the first harvest of Pago de los Capellanes in Pedrosa de Duero, in the heart of Ribera del Duero. The 272-acre vineyard in an area called “Golden mile”, A recent analysis by Ferran Centelles for Jancis Robinson confirms this, based on tasting notes for pinpointing the best vineyard areas in the appellation. Pago de los Capellanes produces a range of estate-bottled wines ranging from juicy, barely oaked reds to this age-worthy Reserva (primarily Tempranillo with a bit of Cabernet Sauvignon) and was recently announced as one of the 100 top wineries in the world by Wine & Spirits magazine.
