Inspired by the fantasy of being shipwrecked on a tropical island, Glenmorangie 19 years old is impossibly smooth and creamy, with hints of guava, papaya and pineapple.
MATURATION
This whisky started with a fantasy about being shipwrecked on a deserted island, a tropical haven chockfull of sensory wonder. We set out to capture all the scents and flavours of that place. A delightful spot, where the trees are filled with beautiful fruit and the air is alive with aromas. It’s one of the most complex, dense-with delight whiskies we’ve ever made. The journey begins on our giraffe-high stills, which give us our delicate and fruity spirit. Then we introduce it to the bourbon casks where it will spend nearly two decades deepening, becoming lively, sweeter and ever-more delectable. Every sip takes you further into a lush oasis of flavour.
PALATE
An impossibly smooth, creamy whisky with layer on layer of scrumptiousness. Guava cavorting with papaya. Orange interlaced with buttery toffee. Pineapple with hints of citrus. Silky notes of Madagascan vanilla and a touch of mint.
