Whether in a theatre gallery or art gallery, it’s a place where one’s senses are aroused. A flamboyant variety like Gewürztraminer also makes an emphatic appeal to the senses with its exotic and perfumed bouquet and lingering finish.

Brand Story:
Andy and Misha Wilkinson created this rising star after living 16 years living in Asia. With the idea of creating Asian suited wines and pursuant of a Pinot Noir passion the vision was to develop a journey they could experience together. That journey started on the eastern shores of Lake Dunstan in 2003. As Misha and Andy had sales and marketing backgrounds the internationally renowned winemaker Olly Masters joined the journey for his Central Otago winemaking debut. The evolution of Misha’s Vineyard so far, as produced some outstanding wines championed by Central Otago’s flagship - Pinot Noir.

Tasting Notes:
Classic varietal aromas of rose petal, lychee, ginger and cinnamon, this off-dry style has a gentle but full palate that balances sweet baked fruits with fresh ripe citrus.

Awards & Accolades
“Dry gewürztraminer with restrained Turkish Delight, potpourri and rosewater characters. Nicely structured wine with good acidity and a backbone of fine tannins. I'd like to see a little more volume, although that may happen with a bottle age.” – The Real Review, 89 points

“The 2021 Gewurztraminer - The Gallery is dry and precise with some phenolic grip. It's not a flamboyant style. The Gewurz characters are reined in; the aromatics are more apricot and rose-petal in character. This is low-cropped with relatively high acidity, giving a straight backed rather than plump Gewurz, reflecting the cooler climate here even though it's 14% alcohol. But it's all in balance.” – Antonio Galloni, 92 points
