The actual artwork is made of coloured metal wires woven into a backdrop of connecting boxes with bright and attractive colours on one side, and a black portion on the other. A huge butterfly is woven with outstanding yellow gold wires. The butterfly is applied onto the black portion of the backdrop. When the artwork is completed, a picture is taken and printed it as an art poster reproduction. In this manner, the artwork is easier to maintain and handle on a daily basis, and still delivers the same colour and artistic intensity as would with the actual artwork. This is an expression of ourselves metamorphising into our new selves, flying from the dark into the light. The play of colours is intended to be inspirational. Great as gifts or for oneself.
